Department of Veterans Affairs Chiropractor in Petersham and Sydneys’s Inner west NSW (DVA)-Accepted
At In Good Hands Chiropractic we accept both oth cards require a referral from an accepted source. Your DVA status will determine your level of cover, either white or gold
For white card holders to be entitled to Chiropractic care, they must require a referral from their GP or Chiropractor with the current referral before commencing treatment. The referral must contain the correct condition that the DVA has approved.
Gold Card Veterans are covered fully for Chiropractic care without specific conditions required.
White cards are covered if a referral to a Chiropractor is requested due to an injury sustained or caused by service
How do I access this service?
You must obtain a referral to our chiropractic clinic from one of the following;
- Chiropractor with current referral
- GP
- Local Medical Officer
- Medical specialist
- Doctor in Hospital
- Hospital discharge planner
These referrals are active for 12 months periods only. You must go see your GP or other source for a new referral every 12 months.
What happens when I visit the Chiropractor?
Simply advise us that you are a DVA Health Card patient when you make your booking, and present the card and referral to reception to be processed.
The Chiropractor will determine a suitable treatment plan and discuss this with you.
Are there limits to the number of services I can receive?
Yes, this is up to your treating Chiropractor. After assessing you they will establish the amount and frequency of services you require, as well as discuss the type of treatment you will be receiving.
Do I need to pay for treatment?
No, we claim directly from DVA on your behalf. There is no excess charge.
